LYN Mattress Event
I need to share a story with y'all about last week's LYN event! It can't wait! When we first found out we were going to receive the mattresses from Nashville, we decided to work through an agency here in Sikeston that currently works with people in need. That way the beds would definitely get into the homes of people who needed them most. We were planning to receive approximately 125 full and twin mattresses, and we thought the agency would probably come up with abo ut 50 to 60 people who needed them and we would come up with the rest. To our surprise, they quickly had a complete list of names! When we got to Nashville, our friend who was donating the beds told us the numbers were off and we didn't have the number of twin and full mattresses we first thought. There were more full than expected, and less twin. No worries - we loaded up the truck and headed back, thinking we would just give out what we had. Fast forward to Saturday! Roughly 20 teams showed up to help
